Want to use your KBC e-Business Card for KBC-Online for Business and e-Government applications? If so, you'll need to activate it first. Just follow this checklist:
Activate your KBC e-Business Card
1. Internet Explorer as browser
Use Internet Explorer to activate your card. Learn more. The KBC security software has been installed on this computer. Download this software here.
2. Card reader connected
A card reader is connected to this computer: you can obtain your KBC e-Business Card Reader from your bank branch.
3. Personal password
You have received a temporary personal password by post. If this password does not have eight characters, contact the KBC-Helpdesk (problems with electronic banking).
4. Latest activation date not passed
The latest activation date for your card has not yet passed. You will find this date on all correspondence sent to you in relation to your KBC e-Business Card.
5. Card within easy reach
You have your KBC e-Business Card to hand. Activate your card and follow the various steps. Your KBC e-Business Card is then ready to be used in a highly secure environment for KBC-Online for Business and e-Government applications.
If you had already begun the certification procedure at an earlier time, but were unable to complete the session for some reason, be extra alert. If you got as far as step 3 in your previous attempt and changed the password for your KBC e-Business Card, you must now enter the password that you chose then, not the password contained in the original letter containing your password.
