Returning your leased bike

End your lease and return your bike with ease

If your lease is nearly up, you may be wondering how to return your bike.
How and when do you return it? What are KBC Autolease’s guidelines on damage? Look in our FAQs for answers to your questions.

What must you return along with the bike?

Bikes should be returned to us in a well-cared-for condition, together with the:

• Bike’s original options (including battery and charger for electric bikes)
• Registration plate (for high-speed bikes)
• Registration certificate (for high-speed bikes)
• Bicycle lock and its keys

How do you return your bike?

You have two options. Fill in the hand-in document and send us your choice via ccd@kbcautolease.be.

What happens if the bike is damaged?

VAB Fleet Services will inspect the bike using our bike return checklist. Serious damage will be billed as end-of-contract damage. Serious damage to a bike means it is declared a total loss. Aesthetic damage is not deemed serious damage.
Thanks to our cooperation with the socio-economic sector, we can minimise repair costs as much as possible.

Can you buy the bike at the end of the contract?

Yes, the rider leasing the bike can buy it at the end of the contract. If you don’t opt to buy the bike, our Remarketing division will sell it.

Can I keep a high-speed bike’s registration plate when the contract is taken over?

No. It stays registered in our name.
