What if your luggage fails to arrive on time at the airport and you have to buy new clothes? Don’t worry! This insurance will reimburse you for any replacement clothes you have to buy up to a certain amount.

What does it cover?

This cover reimburses you for outlays on urgent purchases of necessary replacement clothing and toiletry articles not paid for by the carrier and required due to a delay in the delivery of your baggage.

The insurance is valid for travel to a foreign destination.

When are you covered?

Compensation
  • Baggage more than 48 hours late: up to 500 euros for the entire group travelling together
  • Baggage more than 4 hours late: up to 250 euros for the entire group travelling together
Main conditions
  • The trip must have been paid for by you with a KBC means of payment
  • The urgent expenses must have been paid for using your KBC Platinum Credit Card
  • Your application for insurance cover must have been signed by you when you booked the trip
Main exclusions

The policy does not apply

  • if the baggage has not been retrieved for charter flights
  • for baggage that was not transferred to the responsibility of the carrier upon departure or that was checked in too late

This insurance is free of charge and optional. You must register for the insurance policy in order to benefit from its cover.

    You can submit a claim under the insurance as long as your credit card is active and you have paid the card fee. The insurance ends automatically when the contract between KBC Bank NV and the insurer is cancelled.

  • This insurance is a class 16 product (financial loss insurance).
    The conditions of cover are available from all KBC branches and at www.kbc.be/platinum. The applicable general conditions alone determine your right to compensation from the insurer.
