What does this job entail?
How effective are the credit-risk models we use? Is there a better way to manage the risks linked to loans? As the auditor in our team, you commit yourself to finding the answers to questions like these, for KBC Group entities in Belgium and abroad. Is this a challenge you would jump at? Welcome to KBC Corporate Audit.
What do we expect from you?
- You perform audits – from A to Z – in the domain of Risk Management, with a focus on credit-risk modelling. You take an up-close, critical view of modelling, the validation of these models and the calculation of required capital in line with Pillar 1 and Pillar 2 methodology.
- You make contacts within the organisation during your analyses, ensuring you have answers to all your questions.
- You perform a thorough analysis after which you formulate your findings and recommendations in relation to risk management. You convince and motivate line managers to take on the proposed changes.
- You then follow up on how your recommendations are being implemented. You regularly report on the progress being made.
Your key strengths?
- Your analytic ability is one of your biggest strengths. You work with a critical, targeted and structured approach, resulting in clear, pragmatic advice. When faced with large amounts of information, you quickly see what is important and what isn’t.
- You communicate clearly and convincingly in English. Drafting a report, giving a presentation, arguing standpoints or assertively expressing a message ... You do it all fluently and smoothly.
- A mathematical background and a basic knowledge of Python is a big plus.
- You have a university degree - for example Economics, Commercial Engineering or Commercial Science - and/or at least 2 years of relevant work experience.
- You can quickly familiarize yourself with new material. Do you already have experience with credit risk models? Even better!
What can we offer you?
- You’re assured of an excellent onboarding and a pleasant, collegial work atmosphere.
- Throughout your entire career at KBC, we encourage you to grow as a person and as a professional. You can follow training courses in which you further sharpen your hard and soft skills.
- Our offices are easily accessible by public transport. You’re also welcome to partly work from home.
- Flexible work hours help you to balance your work and your private life.
- We offer you a permanent contract and a competitive salary, supplemented by extralegal benefits. Sounds familiar? Of course. It’s what you read in every job description. At KBC, we make a difference with our extended flex package. It’s too extensive to go into details here. However, we will happily discuss the various benefits—large and small—at your interview.
Can you help us make the difference?
At KBC Audit, you will have the unique opportunity to experience the various processes within the bank up close and actively contribute to their improvement. You will become part of a warm and knowledgeable team that is always ready to support you.
