How to check a document?

Save the PDF document locally. Then select it with the blue button or drag it directly to the box above. Then click on “Check”. You will immediately receive feedback.

Which documents can you verify?

You can only verify PDF files on which it is expressly stated that you can verify the authenticity. These may include, for example, annual reports, quarterly figures or press releases.

What does the check entail?

The control tool checks whether the content and the name of your document correspond with the original document.
Is this the case? Then the system will also check whether the content is still up-to-date and if, perhaps, a newer version is available.

What you should do when you receive the message “We are not familiar with this document”?

Do you suspect that you do, indeed, have an original document or that the original document has been changed? Send us a message on pressofficekbc@kbc.be or contact the author.

Why did we develop this control tool?

KBC would like to improve the confidence in digital documents. That is why, on the one hand, we give you the opportunity to check whether the content of a KBC document corresponds with the original.

While, on the other hand, we also wish to inform you on the status of a document. That is why the tool also lets you know whether the document is still up-to-date or if a newer version is available.
