What does this job entail?
As a Financial Insights & Forecasting expert at KBC, you support the senior management team in making the right decisions in relation to previously defined strategic goals. You do this by understanding the figures and placing the insights from your analyses in a holistic business perspective.
Expect a stimulating work context where you collaborate with diverse stakeholders and are in direct contact with the senior management of the KBC Group. Your mission? Offering innovative insights and forecasts.
What do we expect from you?
- You perform in-depth analyses of data about our financial forecasting processes, working with a team of financial experts to come to strategic insights that offer the senior management team added value.
- You’re committed to a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
- You use your goals, and those of your team, as the basis for synchronising and collaborating with your colleagues from other departments (Finance, Risk, Treasury & Legal, as well as diverse business units).
- When you receive information from colleagues working in local departments of our foreign entities, you look for a balance between collaboration and the challenges they face. You keep your eyes on the goal: offering senior management the best possible insights.
- You present your insights to colleagues and managers clearly, making sure they’re easily understood. You commit to various standpoints, defending them to internal and external stakeholders, including the CFO of the KBC Group, the KBC Group Executive Committee & Board of Directors, and supervisors and monitors (ECB and NBB).
Your key strengths?

- You have a master’s degree in Finance or Economy.
- Your previous work experience has made you very familiar with the financial side of the bank and insurance world. You are quick to make the link between figures and their business context.
- You are looking for a function in which you’ll use your expertise and your leadership skills to their full potential. We see your ambition to become a Team Leader as a bonus.
- Your strengths include analysis and critical reasoning.
- You’re used to working with concepts and models.
- You communicate effectively in Dutch and English, whether writing or speaking.
- You know how to build up good work relationships with others, tactfully bring others onto the same wavelength, diplomatically arguing, promoting and defending your standpoints .
- You show enthusiasm and commitment, even when time restraints put you under pressure. You love working with others, as a single team, achieving goals.
- You and your colleagues are happy to take initiative. You understand the importance of continuous learning.
What can we offer you?
- You’re assured of an excellent onboarding and a pleasant, collegial work atmosphere.
- Throughout your entire career at KBC, we encourage you to grow as a person and as a professional. You can follow training courses in which you further sharpen your hard and soft skills.
- Our offices are easily accessible by public transport. You’re also welcome to partly work from home.
- Flexible work hours help you to balance your work and your private life.
- We offer you a permanent contract and a competitive salary, supplemented by extralegal benefits. Sounds familiar? Of course. It’s what you read in every job description. At KBC, we make a difference with our extended flex package. It’s too extensive to go into details here. However, we will happily discuss the various benefits—large and small—at your interview.
Can you help us make the difference?
‘Deze functie dompelt je constant onder in de macro-economische en geo-politieke actualiteit. Het beleid van ECB/FED en de internationale politieke volatiliteit die de wereldeconomie sturen, zijn key parameters voor onze financiële projecties. Daarnaast zit je ook heel dicht op de belangrijkste beslissingen van het KBC topmanagement (internationale acquisities, commerciële strategie, …). Kortom een zeer uitdagende functie die je steeds lieert met de externe en interne hot topics.’
