What does this job entail?
Group Treasury is at the heart of the KBC Group. The team is responsible for managing the Group’s balance sheet in a safe and profitable manner, covering areas such as interest rate and liquidity management, funding, and capital optimization.
As a Project & Process Manager, you will help shape the future of this function. You will lead strategic transformation initiatives at Group level, working closely with Treasury experts and a broad range of stakeholders across various KBC countries.
Your projects will sit at the intersection of finance, technology, and innovation. Examples include building a model- and AI-driven data and reporting environment, introducing digital assets, and further automating and industrializing key Treasury processes.
You do not need to be a Treasury expert from day one. We are looking for someone who can quickly grasp complex topics, enjoys collaborating with subject-matter experts, and takes ownership to successfully deliver ambitious projects.
What do we expect from you?
- You lead complex, multidisciplinary projects from analysis and planning through to implementation and delivery.
- You bring structure to challenging issues, define the right approach together with experts, and translate it into concrete actions.
- You analyze and optimize processes, proactively identifying opportunities to make them more efficient, robust, and future-proof.
- You bring together Treasury experts, IT professionals, and other stakeholders while managing scope, priorities, and progress.
- You create buy-in for change and ensure that diverse interests and perspectives are aligned into workable solutions.
- You take initiative when action is required and keep projects on track, even in a complex international environment.
- You acquire sufficient subject-matter knowledge to challenge assumptions, support decision-making, and translate complex topics into clear insights.
- You collaborate with colleagues across different KBC entities and contribute to the further development of Group-wide solutions and processes.
Your key strengths?
- You are a senior professional with proven experience in project and process management and a successful track record of leading complex, multidisciplinary projects.
- You possess strong analytical skills, think critically, and quickly master new and complex subject matter.
- You work in a structured manner and can translate complex challenges into clear priorities and practical solutions.
- Stakeholder management is one of your key strengths. You build strong relationships, bring different parties together, and foster constructive collaboration across countries and departments.
- You communicate clearly in English and can explain complex models or concepts in a way that is accessible to non-specialists.
- You are proactive, results-oriented, and maintain a strong focus on quality and efficiency.
- You take ownership, are confident in making decisions, and keep firm control of project delivery.
- You enjoy working with subject-matter experts and can connect diverse perspectives to achieve a common goal.
- You have a genuine interest in Treasury, Asset & Liability Management, financial markets, and/or the application of data, models, and AI within the banking sector.
What can we offer you?
- An excellent onboarding experience, a collaborative work environment, and a positive team atmosphere.
- Continuous opportunities for personal and professional growth throughout your career at KBC through training and development programs that strengthen both your technical and interpersonal skills.
- Modern offices that are easily accessible by public transport.
- The flexibility to work partly from home.
- Flexible working hours that support a healthy work-life balance.
- A permanent employment contract with a competitive salary and an attractive package of fringe benefits.
Can you help us make the difference?
I love the variety: connecting people, processes, and technology to tackle the challenges of a fast-moving, complex Treasury environment and make a real impact on the bank.
