Amendment General Banking Conditions as from 1 March 2017 

The General Banking Conditions (GBC) – with the main provisions concerning the relationship between the customer and the bank – have been simplified, clarified and amended. The amended GBC have been written in more simple and comprehensible language with examples for clarification. The amended GBC will come into effect as from 1 March 2017. From that moment on they will also be inserted in the general conditions of KBC Bank NV Nederland

The amended conditions have been drawn up in consultation between the Dutch Banking Association (Nederlandse Vereniging van Banken) (DBA), the Consumers' organisation (Consumentenbond), the Confederation of Netherlands Industry and Employers (VNO-NCW), Dutch Federation of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (MKB-Nederland), the Dutch Federation of Agriculture and Horticulture (LTO Nederland) and ONL for Entrepreneurs (ONL voor Ondernemers). All members of the DBA use the same GBC.

The GBC contain rules and provisions concerning general bank issues applicable for you and our bank. The GBC are applicable to private and corporate clients. However, for certain products or services additional terms and conditions may apply. These can deviate from the GBC.

Most important changes and more information

The DBA has filed the text of the amended GBC with the Registry of the District Court in Amsterdam under number 60/2016 on 29 August 2016.
