Frequently asked questions about your lease vehicle: damage and accidents
What should you do if your lease vehicle is damaged or involved in an accident? Find the answers to your questions below and drive with peace of mind.
If you are in an accident, make sure you are safe first. If anybody has been hurt, call the emergency number 112 (ambulance and fire brigade).
If you are not insured through KBC Autoleasee (i.e. your lease contract does not include insurance and risk arrangement), you should contact your fleet manager as soon as possible in the event of an accident or damage.
Technical repairs must be carried out by approved distributors for your make of vehicle or garages in Belgium. You can find a list of these distributors on your car manufacturer’s website.
Bodywork repairs must be done at bodywork repair shops approved by KBC Autolease. Be sure to check the list of approved bodywork repair shops.

If so, contact KBC Autolease Assistance on + 32 2 347 39 02. This service is available 24/7.
KBC Autolease is partnered with VAB to provide roadside assistance.
You are entitled to assistance if your vehicle is immobilised due to:
- Breakdown
- An accident
- Theft or attempted theft
- Vandalism
- Fire
- A stolen number plate

Insurance and risk arrangement are included in your lease
Book an appointment (online) with Carglass or Autoglass Clinic. They can repair chips in your vehicle’s window or replace it if necessary. This does not require you to file a claim with KBC Autolease.

If you’ve had an accident involving another driver, follow these three steps:
- Fill in the European Accident Statement
Fill in the details as completely as possible (you’ll find them on your certificate of insurance). - Have the statement signed
You and the other party or parties must all sign the statement. - Report the damage online

You’ll receive confirmation after reporting the damage.
