KBC Business: FAQs

KBC Business is handy and user-friendly, but if anything is still unclear, you’ll find quick answers to frequently asked questions here.

1. Are there transaction limits for transfers?

You can use the app to quickly and easily make transfers between your own accounts and to accounts belonging to third parties, all within SEPA.

The app applies certain transaction limits to transfers for security reasons (the default limits are listed below), but you can always adjust them.

In addition, there is a separate limit for instant credit transfers. Please note that if a limit set in your power of attorney is lower than the ones listed above, the limit in the power of attorney applies. Learn more about limits

 Standard limit
Transfers between your own accountsUnlimited
Transfers to unknown beneficiaries2 500 euros
Transfers to known beneficiaries10 000 EUR
Signing individual payments100 000 euros
Signing batched payments100 000 euros
2. Can I deactivate KBC Business for a specific user?

The KBC Business app offers two options. If you just want to stop using ‘Mobile banking’, the administrator can select the relevant user by going to ‘Settings’ and ‘Manage users’, then selecting ‘KBC Business’ and deactivating ‘Mobile banking’.

You can only deactivate the security feature if the user also has Isabel security. The administrator can do this by going to ‘Settings’ and ‘Manage users’, then selecting the user and deactivating KBC Business.

3. If I get a new device, can I still use KBC Business?

If you have previously installed the KBC Business app on a device and you are now using a new one, you'll have to quickly run through the activation procedure again.

4. My smartphone on which KBC Business was installed was lost or stolen, what now?

Stay calm. Call us (24/7) and we’ll block all your KBC apps right away. All the details you need can be found here.

5. I forgot my PIN or it was blocked. What should I do now?

If you have KBC Mobile or itsme®, go to ‘Forgotten PIN?’ in the menu bar and choose how you want to reset your PIN. Alternatively, contact your Business Dashboard administrator, who can request new activation codes for you so that you can set a new PIN. They can request them by going to the ‘Settings’ menu. From there, they should choose ‘Manage users’, select the user, and then ‘Solve login problems’ followed by ‘User forgot PIN for KBC Business’.

6. How do I change my PIN?

Go to ‘Settings’ in the menu bar and select ‘Change PIN’.

7. What device do I need to use KBC Business (system requirements)?

System requirements

Please note that mobile banking is not possible on rooted or jailbroken devices.

8. Can the same KBC Business app (installed on a single device) be used by multiple users?

No, it can’t.

9. Can I make instant credit transfers with KBC Business?

Yes, you can. Find out more about instant credit transfers here.

10. Does KBC check a beneficiary’s details?

All banks in the euro area are required to perform an additional check to verify the beneficiary name, otherwise known as ‘Verification of Payee’. KBC also checks whether the name and account number of your beneficiary match the details in the beneficiary bank’s records. We do this for all traditional and instant credit transfers.

Find out more about the ‘Verification of Payee’ service here.
