If you want to protect your company against cybercriminals and data breaches, KBC Cyber Insurance will give you all the protection you need! We’ll reimburse your recovery costs and call in specialists who’ll get you up and running again quickly after a cyberattack.
What are the benefits of KBC Cyber Insurance?
Cybercrime can be found everywhere nowadays. From the moment your company starts using the Internet and computers, you’re a potential target. Market research by VLAIO shows that half of companies in Flanders have fallen victim to cybercriminals.
The financial losses caused by a cyberattack are often so high that the majority of companies are unable to bear them alone. Proper insurance can offer recourse.
What is KBC Cyber Insurance?
KBC Cyber Insurance is a form of property insurance that will protect your company against the consequences of hacking, data breaches, cyberattacks and system intrusion, even if you or your staff were responsible for them.
1. Reimbursement of recovery costs
We cover any costs that need to be incurred, such as for the recovery of your network when it has been damaged by hackers.
The same applies if you incur administrative penalties by infringing privacy legislation due to an oversight by a member of staff, or if funds are stolen from your account when you’ve been hacked.
2. Assistance in the event of a cyberattack or data breach
If you urgently need assistance, you can count on our Cyber Insurance Helpdesk team of specialists, 24/7. We’ll call you back within two hours with a recovery proposal. In the event of an emergency, we’ll immediately dispatch an IT specialist.
If you need a PR specialist or a legal adviser – for example, on account of lost customer data or infringements of GDPR legislation – you can also count on us.
3. Business interruption (optional)
If you’ve lost income because a cyberattack rendered your web store unavailable or caused your machinery to malfunction, this optional cover will entitle you to compensation and help you get back on your feet again.
Exclusive offer: free prevention scan by SecureMe2
Because prevention is better than cure, you can have a free prevention scan carried out by our partner SecureMe2 up to two months after your KBC Cyber Insurance commences.
Your network will be screened and you’ll receive no-obligation advice on how to better protect your company against cybercrime.
Interested in the prevention scan?
The network scan is not part of KBC Cyber Insurance, so you’ll not be contacted automatically to carry one out. If you’re interested, you can contact SecureMe2 directly using the e-mail address you received when you took out your insurance contract.
