Updating software on your smartphone or tablet

What?

KBC Mobile does not work on all software versions. If you want to keep using this handy app, just follow these step-by-step instructions to update your operating system via a wireless connection.

How?

  1. Make sure you have a stable Wi-Fi connection.
  2. In Settings, tap on General and then on Software Update.
  3. Tap on Download and install.
  4. Tap on Install to immediately update the software. You can also choose Later, Install tonight, or Ask me again later if you prefer to do it at another time.
  5. When prompted, enter your access code.
  6. Done! The software has been now updated on your device and you can continue using KBC Mobile again.

Were you unable to update the software? Your device may be a little older and no longer receiving updates from the manufacturer. If you want to keep using KBC Mobile, you will need to buy a new device.

Android 6.0 and lower

  1. Make sure you have a stable Wi-Fi connection or 3G/4G.
  2. From the Home screen, go to Apps.
  3. In Settings, tap on About your device or Device info.
  4. Tap on Software update and then on Update. Your device will now check whether there are any updates available for you. If so, your device will begin downloading that software right away.
  5. Tap on Install and wait until the installation process has been completed.
  6. Done! The software has been now updated on your device and you can continue using KBC Mobile again.

Android 7.0 and higher

  1. Make sure you have a stable Wi-Fi connection or 3G/4G.
  2. From the Home screen, go to Apps.
  3. In Settings, tap on Software update.
  4. Tap on Download updates manually. Your device will now check whether there are any updates available for you. If so, your device will begin downloading that software right away.

If you have a smartphone with an iOS or Android operating system, please grab it now and follow these steps to update your device.

For iOS devices

  1. Make sure you have a stable Wi-Fi connection.

You’ll no longer be able to use KBC Mobile for Windows Phone after 1 October As Microsoft stopped providing security updates for Windows phones some time ago, we’re unfortunately unable to offer KBC Mobile for Windows Phone after 1 October.
