Why go for a personal loan?

A personal loan helps you cover planned or unexpected expenses. You then pay it back in fixed monthly instalments, meaning you don’t have to pay everything in one go and you’re able to spread the cost over several months.

KBC Mobile makes it easy for you to see:

  • How much you have left to pay off
  • When your next repayment is due
  • How long your loan still has to run
  • What you pay each month

Work out and apply for a personal loan

Before taking out a personal loan, you obviously want to know how much it will cost. Thankfully, our online simulation tool lets you see your interest rate and monthly repayment amount in just one step.

Choose the amount you want to borrow and indicate whether you’re applying for the loan on your own or together with someone else.

You’ll receive a proposal from us with your monthly repayment amount, term and interest rate. Not quite what you’re looking for? You can easily adjust the loan amount and term.

If you’re happy with your simulation, proceed with the feasibility check to see whether your loan is good to go.

If your loan is approved, you can sign for it online right away. As soon as we’ve received your confirmation, we’ll transfer the amount to your account.

When does a personal loan come in useful?

Borrowing to cover unexpected expenses

Get a loan from us to cover unforeseen circumstances like when your washing machine gives up the ghost, your house is damaged or you’re hit with a hefty heating oil bill.

Borrowing to go on holiday

Planning to go on the holiday of your dreams? By taking out a loan, you can spread the cost over the entire year.

Borrowing for a hobby

Hobbies are great fun, but more often than not cost a lot of money. Fortunately, you can spread that cost by taking out a loan that's tailored to your needs.

Borrowing to fit out your home

Does your home need a makeover or have you bought a property that needs to be fitted out? With a personal loan, you can quickly start enjoying your new-look home interior.

Borrowing to cover study expenses or gaining a driving licence

Being a student costs an average of 12,450 euros a year. The cost of theory lessons and driving tuition at a driving school can quickly mount up to more than 1,000 euros. When you take out our personal loan, you pay back a fixed amount every month, ensuring you're never in for any unwelcome surprises.

Borrowing for a purchase

If you want to borrow so you can purchase a laptop, smartphone or camera, that can also be arranged. You can take out a personal loan from as little as 1000 euros, so even ‘smaller’ purchases are possible.

The personal loan in more detail

Fixed repayment schedule

When you take out a fixed-rate loan, you know in advance how much you have to pay off each month. The length of time you can take to repay your loan depends on how much you want to borrow.

By running a personal loan simulation, you know beforehand exactly how much you'll be repaying each month and for how long. So, ultimately it's you who decides what your loan looks like.

How much can you borrow?

You can apply online to borrow between 1000 euros and 75,000 euros. Make an appointment at your branch to discuss larger amounts and we’ll see what works for you.

When do you have to start paying back your loan?

Repayments start one month after your loan amount has been made available, after which they are made on the same day every month.

How can you make repayments?

You pay off your loan with a KBC Current Account. If you’re paying off your loan via another financial institution, be sure to make your payments using the right agreement number. This is the account number for your loan.
