Developing and providing certain services
KBC has a legitimate interest in processing personal data to support IT infrastructure, improve processes, coach staff and improve services. This includes:
- Evaluating, simplifying, testing and improving processes and the website, such as by using information from cookies (e.g., preference settings and click and browsing behaviour on our website) to follow up on a simulation left uncompleted, statistics or a satisfaction survey
- Evaluating and improving processes, in response to complaints
- Training and coaching employees, for example by recording telephone calls
- In certain cases, KBC does not process your data to personally identify or approach you, but because it is necessary to provide a service to someone else. For example: if KBC makes an assessment for its corporate clients about the sustainability of a building you live in, your data may be processed along with it.
- We may process personal data in connection with the development, training and deployment of artificial intelligence (AI) systems or other innovative technologies for the various purposes described in this data protection statement. For example, AI can be used to achieve operational efficiency or automate decision-making processes.
- Using control groups to develop and improve products or services. Here, customers are randomly assigned to groups in order to learn how certain products or services are experienced or used by customers. This helps KBC, for example, to better tailor its offerings to the needs of its customers.
