KBC thinks before it answers queries from outside parties

If you have questions about customers as a third party, for example as a police officer, notary or lawyer, please contact KBC Insurance Telecel, Prof. Roger Van Overstraetenplein 2, 3000 Leuven or at the following e-mail addresses: telecel.leven@verz.kbc.be (life insurance) and kbc.telecel@verz.kbc.be (non-life insurance). This specialised service will answer your question, taking into account the duty of discretion and privacy legislation. Our intermediaries or other services will therefore refer you.

As KBC has to comply with its confidentiality obligations and with the data protection legislation, it may only answer queries from third parties if they arise pursuant to a legal requirement, doing so is a prerequisite for performing the contract or the data subject has given their consent.

In the last case, KBC actually advises requesting the information directly from the data subject.

KBC declines liability if, as a result of foreign legal obligations, the lawful recipients of data are required to pass personal data about customers or legal entities on to local authorities. Or if they process personal data without an adequate level of security.

KBC Complaints Management provides answers to the questions posed by the Insurance Ombudsman.
