KBC-Life Residential Real Estate
Belgian management company KBC Asset Management NV
The KBC-Life Residential Real Estate fund invests in quality residential real estate. A significant portion is invested in unlisted (real estate) certificates, supplemented by listed real estate assets. In the short term, we have no sight of any new attractive real estate projects in the market and therefore the inclusion of additional residential real estate in the portfolio is no longer possible. Subscriptions to this fund have increased significantly, making it impossible to include additional inflows into the fund. Therefore, to meet the fund's expectations for current clients, we are forced to temporarily not allow any new entries or additional deposits as of March 14, 2016. Specifically, this means that no new policyholders will be admitted, but existing policyholders will also not be able to increase their insertion into the fund until further notice. In the meantime, the search for new real estate opportunities will continue and initiatives will be taken to include additional high-quality residential real estate in the portfolio. As soon as sufficient alternative real estate opportunities arise, we will evaluate the situation in order to reopen the fund.
