What do I need to use Apple Pay?
- Apple device that supports Apple Pay (see compatible devices and models)
- KBC Debit Card or KBC credit card linked to a KBC Plus Account
- Power of attorney over your KBC Plus Account (if you’re a minor aged 10 or over)
How do I convert my KBC Basic Account to a KBC Plus Account?
- Log in to KBC Mobile
- Tap ‘My KBC’
- Select the current account you want to change
- Tap the three dots at the top right
- Tap ‘Settings’
- Tap ‘Account type’
- Hit ‘Upgrade your account’ to convert your KBC Basic Account into a KBC Plus Account
- Continue using your existing account number and debit card
- Log in to KBC Touch
- Select the current account you want to change
- Open the ‘Manage’ tab
- Click ‘Account type’
- Hit ‘Upgrade your account’ to convert your KBC Basic Account into a KBC Plus Account
- Continue using your existing account number and debit card
How do I add my debit card to Apple Pay using the Wallet app on my iPhone?
- Open the Wallet app on your Apple device and tap the "+" sign at the top right of the screen
- Choose the card you want to add, tap ‘Add to Apple Wallet’ and follow the steps
- Set it as your default card if you want
- Start using Apple Pay
How do I add my credit card to Apple Pay using the Wallet app on my iPhone?
- Open the Wallet app on your iPhone, tap the "+" sign at the top right of the screen and follow the steps
- Select KBC and then ‘Credit card’
- Scan your credit card and enter its expiry date and three-digit security code
- Select ‘Log in to your bank's app’ and follow the instructions to link your card to Apple Pay
- Set it as your default card if you want
- Start using Apple Pay
What should I do if my linked debit or credit card or my iPhone gets lost or stolen?
If you’ve lost your iPhone or it’s been stolen, have your debit or credit card linked to Apple Pay blocked right away. The same applies if you lose your linked debit or credit card.
You can block your card in KBC Mobile or by calling Card Stop on + 32 78 170 170. You can block your iPhone using ‘Find my iPhone’.
Once your card or iPhone has been blocked, it can no longer be used to pay, including by Apple Pay.
When you receive your new debit or credit card, you can link it to Apple Pay.
Are there any charges for using Apple Pay?
No. You can use Apple Pay free of charge.
Note that if you’re outside the euro area and use Apple Pay to pay for something, you’ll be charged a foreign exchange commission. See the applicable charges for a debit or credit card linked to Apple Pay.
