What do I need to use Kate Wallet?
- A smartphone that supports contactless payments
- A KBC Debit Card, KBC Credit Card or a KBC Prepaid Card linked to a KBC Basic Account, KBC Plus Account or KBC Business Account (so you can make payments)
If you don’t have any KBC payment cards, you can also use Kate Wallet to store your loyalty cards, identity documents or even the bus or train tickets you bought using KBC Mobile.
Minors aged 10 or over need a power of attorney over their personal account or business account at KBC to use Kate Wallet.
Where can I find Kate Wallet?
- On KBC Mobile’s login screen
- On KBC Mobile’s start screen
- Under ‘Offer’
The quickest way to pay with Kate Wallet is by using a shortcut on your device, such as the Double Tap (iOS) or Quick Settings (Android). To do this, you’ll need to set Kate Wallet or KBC Mobile as the default contactless app on your device.
What should I do if my payment card or my smartphone gets lost or stolen?
If you’ve lost your smartphone or had it stolen, make sure the payment cards linked to your Kate Wallet are blocked right away. Do the same if you lose your payment card.
You can block your card yourself using KBC Mobile or by calling Card Stop on + 32 78 170 170. As soon as your card or phone has been blocked, you will no longer be able to use it to make payments.
If you apply for a new payment card, we’ll add it automatically to Kate Wallet.
