More information about MyMobility

The Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) provides an estimate of what your car costs you, with the estimated figure taking due account of both fixed and variable costs. The calculation is based on the data available to KBC. If certain information is not available, it will be requested in order to arrive at the most accurate estimate possible. When all the data is not entered, we show a range within which the cost is estimated to lie.

The TCO calculation takes into account the make and model of the car, the year of initial registration, the type of fuel used, transmission type, engine type (optional), kilometre reading, the number of kilometres driven per year and information about your loan and insurance. These details are entered automatically when they are linked to one of KBC’s banking or insurance products. In other cases, you can fill in these details or update them yourself.

Depending on how your car was added, you can log in to KBC Mobile and use MyMobility to update certain details relating to your car and the associated costs.

If you added your car manually, you can change the vehicle details yourself. If the car is insured with KBC, the official details are retrieved automatically on the basis of the chassis number (VIN). These details are linked to your insurance and therefore cannot be changed.

To update the details relating to a car added manually:

  • Log in to KBC Mobile and go to ‘MyMobility’
  • Select the car whose details you want to update
  • Tap the three-dot menu (...) and select ‘Edit details’
  • Make the necessary changes and save them

Besides the vehicle details, you can update the data for your TCO calculation to get an idea of the total cost of owning your car. It’s important to remember that costs linked to %ùbank%% products cannot be changed as long as they are linked to your car.

To update your TCO data:

  • Log in to %%product.mobile%% and go to ‘MyMobility’
  • Select the car and tap ‘View details’
  • Go to the overview of your costs and tap ‘Details’
  • Select the costs to be updated and tap ‘Edit’
  • Update and save the data

You can return to Kate's estimates at any time should you wish to use them again for reference purposes.
