It’s well known that KBC is there to finance and insure your home, but did you know that we can also help you optimise your energy consumption and make energy-efficient renovations to your home?
KBC Mobile offers tips on how to optimise your energy consumption and choose the best energy contract. This ensures you save money and energy as well as helps you take the first steps towards making your home more energy efficient.
Tip: just tell Kate ‘I want to save energy.’ You can find your digital assistant in the top-right corner of KBC Mobile.
How does KBC help you optimise your energy consumption and find the right energy contract?
Optimising your energy consumption and choosing the right energy contract can help a great deal, but ultimately the construction of your home is what makes the difference. That means you should first take care of the essentials such as energy-efficient windows and proper insulation of your roof, walls and floor. You can use KBC Mobile to easily calculate the cost of your renovation work and apply for the right financing. In addition, you can find your dream home with the help of Immoscoop or have your current home valued for free.
How does KBC help you make energy-efficient renovations to your home?
If you’ve already taken care of your home’s essentials such as proper insulation and energy-efficient windows, then solar panels are a good idea to increase the amount of electricity you generate for yourself.
If you’ve installed solar panels and you have energy-hungry appliances such as a charging station or a heat pump, a home battery could be an effective method to optimise the way you generate and use electricity.

At KBC , you can get an additional discount on the interest rate for your new mortgage loan. You can get it right away when purchasing an energy-efficient property. Flemish renovation loan
If you use a mortgage loan to purchase and renovate a property with a poor energy performance rating and then make that home significantly more energy efficient within five years, you can claim back some or all of the interest on your renovation loan from the Flemish government.
Attention: The Flemish renovation credit is offered if the deed of purchase of the house is signed with the notary on December 31, 2024 at the latest. After that, the Flemish renovation credit with interest subsidy will no longer be offered by the Flemish government.
